Hello, world
A first post, and a note on why this site exists.
I wanted somewhere to write that wasn’t a feed. No character limits, no engagement loop, no algorithm deciding who sees what. Just a page, some text, and a date.
Why a personal site
Social platforms are rented land. The posts live in someone else’s database, ranked by someone else’s rules, and they can disappear without notice. A personal site is boring in the best way: it’s a folder of files I control, and it will still render in ten years.
What goes here
Mostly short notes — things I figure out while building, films I can’t stop thinking about, and the occasional longer piece when I have something worth saying. If a post looks unfinished, it probably is. That’s the point of a notebook.
If you want to follow along, the RSS feed is generated at build time and lives at
/rss.xml.
